We all knew Alan Moore wouldn't be happy with the Watchmen prequels.

But now another comic book author has stepped and called the prequels "unnecessary."

Kevin Smith has dabbled in a lot of comics over the years. But he says that when asked if he wanted to write a Watchmen prequel for the upcoming series, he declined.
